The Historic Ghent Community and friends present New Bern's 4th Annual Mardi Gras on Saturday, March 2, 2019
This year will be our biggest and most festive Mardi Gras yet — we're planning to celebrate BIG in 2019 — more vendors, more music, more floats, and more fun than ever before!
Festivities will begin at 11 am and wrap up at 6 pm, with the parade at 3 pm.
This year's parade will be led by Tryon Palace's Fife and Drum Corps, and will feature floats, antique cars, costumed krewes (groups and clubs), musicians and dancers, throws (Mardi Gras beads!), the New Bern Trolley, and of course, the Mardi Gras King and Queen.
Festivities will take place all day on Spencer Avenue between 4th Street and 6th Street, with the parade route (at 3pm) from Spencer Avenue and 8th Street to Spencer Avenue and 2nd Street.
All are welcome to join the fun—spectators and participants alike!
The Ghent Neighborhood Association and friends look forward to having you join us for New Bern Mardi Gras 2019.
Laissez les bons temps rouler! (Let the good times roll!)
P.S. This a fun-only event — no politics, no religion. Thank you!
